Israeli forces assault farmer while picking olives near Jenin

JENIN, October 21, 2025 (WAFA) – A farmer was injured on Tuesday after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked him while picking olives in the town of Kafr Ra'i, south of Jenin.

Local sources said that several IOF soldiers severely beat an olive picker in the town of Kafr Ra'i, causing him a head injury while picking olives from his land in the town.

Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated attacks by colonists and the Israeli occupation army during the annual olive harvest season. Farmers constantly face attacks and violations that prevent them from accessing their lands, leading to significant material losses and exacerbating their daily suffering under the occupation.

Since October 7, 2023, colonists have carried out a total of 7,154 attacks against citizens and their property, resulting in the killing of 33 citizens in the West Bank.

The attacks of the occupation forces and colonists also resulted in the uprooting, destruction and damage of a total of 48,728 trees, including 37,237 olive trees, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
