GAZA, October 21, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli navy detained three Palestinian fishermen off the coast of Gaza City after opening fire on them, according to local sources.
They said that Israeli navy detained Abdullah al-Absi, Muhammad Maqdad, and Bakr Abu Abdah.
Israeli navy deliberately targets fishermen off the coast of Gaza on a daily basis, shooting at them, arresting them, and seizing their boats. However, after October 7, 2023, it completely banned fishermen from fishing, executed many of them, and destroyed most fishing boats, forcing them risk their lives at sea to feed their families.
