Israeli colonists attack Palestinian olive pickers in Ramallah

RAMALLAH, October 21, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists attacked on Tuesday olive pickers in the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, according to local sources.

Sources said that a group colonists attacked olive pickers in the Wadi Ammar area of the town, forcing them to leave the area. They also caused material damage to a farmer's vehicle after hurling stones at it.

Two civilians and a foreign activist sustained different bruises and wounds two days earlier after being attacked by colonists in the same town.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) documented 71 attacks by colonists in the West Bank between October 7 and 13, half of which were related to the olive harvest season.

During the annual olive harvest season, Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated attacks by colonists and the occupation army. Farmers constantly face attacks and violations that prevent them from accessing their lands, causing significant material losses and exacerbating their daily suffering under the occupation.

Since October 7, 2023, settlers have carried out a total of 7,154 attacks against Palestinians and their property, resulting in the killing of 33 people in the West Bank.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, attacks by the occupation and its colonists have also resulted in the uprooting, destruction, and damage of a total of 48,728 trees, including 37,237 olive trees.
