TULKARM, October 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces (IOF) deployed heavy military vehicles and infantry units in Tulkarm city on Monday morning, specifically around the street leading to the Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital.
WAFA correspondent reported that IOF closed the street, obstructing the movement of vehicles and civilians. They also raided the Al-Adawiya commercial building in the area and climbed onto its roof. They detained a number of citizens and subjected them to field interrogation, but no arrests were reported.
This escalation coincides with the ongoing Israeli aggression on the city and its two refugee camps, Tulkarm and Nour Shams, for the 267th consecutive day. The IOF imposed a tight siege, preventing residents from entering, and opening fire on anyone who tries to approach.
The occupation forces also tightened their siege on Tulkarm refugee camp, installing iron gates at the entrances to several neighborhoods, particularly those from the western side. They also placed earth mounds in the eastern neighborhood of the city adjacent to the camp, after seizing several homes from residents in that area.
