RAMALLAH, October 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces closed the iron gate at the entrance to Atara, north of Ramallah, on Monday morning.
WAFA correspondent said that the occupation forces closed the main entrance to Atara gate, forcing residents to take long routes.
The occupation forces also set up a checkpoint near the "Halmish" colony, located on Nabi Saleh lands, and stopped a number of vehicles, searched them, and checked the IDs of their passengers, impeding the movement of residents.
According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission last September, the total number of military checkpoints and iron gates installed by the occupation army in the West Bank has reached 910, including 83 gates since the beginning of 2025. Note that 247 iron gates were installed after October 7, 2023.
