RAMALLAH, October 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Armed colonists attacked Palestinian farmers this evening while they were picking olives in the village of Al-Taybeh, east of Ramallah, according to local sources.
Sources told WAFA that a group of armed colonists assaulted farmers harvesting olives in lands located near residential homes, severely beating one farmer, before the Israeli army intervened to secure the colonists’ withdrawal.
This attack comes amid a rise in colonist attacks on citizens and olive pickers across the West Bank, particularly in the governorates of Ramallah, Nablus, and Salfit. The town of Turmus Ayya also witnessed a violent attack by colonists earlier today.
Palestinian farmers face an annual struggle to safeguard their lands and olive trees from colonist attacks, which intensify during the olive-harvesting season amid the protection and support provided to colonists by the Israeli army.
