Israeli forces seal off entrances to several villages east and west of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, October 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces this evening sealed off the entrances to several villages and roads east of Ramallah, severely disrupting the movement of residents, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that the Israeli army closed the main entrance of the town of Deir Dibwan east of Ramallah with a military checkpoint at the western bridge, preventing vehicles from passing in both directions.

Forces also closed the entrances to Deir Jarir and Yabrud with dirt barriers and military checkpoints, forcing residents to use rough, alternative dirt roads to reach their homes.

Israeli forces also closed the road connecting several villages west of Ramallah, including the Jaryut road linking Beitunia with the western villages.

These measures come amid escalating attacks by colonists in the vicinity of Palestinian communities, particularly during the olive harvest season, as villages east of Ramallah have witnessed in recent days a widespread crackdown, including chasing farmers and preventing them from reaching their lands located near the colonies.
