JERUSALEM, October 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Bulldozers of the Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem bulldozed today a Palestinian-owned plot of land designated for displaying and selling cars near the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, according to local sources.
Sources reported that staff from the Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem, accompanied by substantial units of Israeli police, stormed the site and carried out bulldozing operations across large areas of the land, in addition to destroying the exhibition’s equipment and facilities without prior notice.
The targeted land is located in a vital area along Street No. 1 and has been owned by a Jerusalemite family for decades. The Israeli authorities claim that the land is “unlicensed”, as part of their plan to expand colonial control around the Sheikh Jarrah and Wadi al-Joz areas.
This attack comes within the framework of an ongoing Israeli policy targeting Palestinian presence in Jerusalem through demolition orders, land seizures, and forced evictions for the benefit of colonial settlement projects, in an attempt to alter the Arab character of the holy city and displace its indigenous residents.
