RAMALLAH, October 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists and forces carried out a series of attacks today against Palestinian farmers and property across the West Bank, targeting olive pickers and private land in multiple towns and villages.

The assaults included forcing farmers off their land, setting fire to vehicles, detaining and assaulting civilians, and preventing access to farmlands during the olive harvest season, causing significant damage and financial loss.

In Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah, forces and colonists attacked olive pickers in Wadi Ammar area, forcing them to leave their lands. Earlier, the army had set up a temporary checkpoint at the town entrance, stopping and searching vehicles.

In the village of Al-Jaba'a, near Bethlehem, a group of colonists infiltrated a vehicle repair yard owned by a local resident and set fire to several vehicles, causing extensive destruction.

In Rujeib, east of Nablus, colonists from the nearby Itamar settlement assaulted olive pickers, attempting to prevent them from harvesting their crops.

In Salfit province, in the central West Bank, Israeli colonists under army protection prevented farmers and international and Palestinian supporters, including the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Muayyad Shaaban, and Salfit Governor Mustafa Taqatqa, from participating in olive harvesting in the village of Farkha.

These attacks are part of a systematic state-led campaign of colonist violence during the olive harvest season, where farmers face obstacles reaching their lands, repeated harassment, and physical harm.

The attacks also form part of a sustained campaign of state-sponsored violence during the season, with repeated incursions preventing access to farmland, destroying trees, and harming the Palestinian economy.

Since October 7, 2023, colonists have carried out 7,154 attacks across the West Bank, including damage to 37,237 olive trees, while 33 Palestinians were killed in related incidents, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
