RAMALLAH, October 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces early Friday raided the home of released prisoner and deportee Yousef Abdul-Halim Dawoud in the village of Deir Ghassana, northwest of Ramallah, according to local sources.
Sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers searched Dawoud’s home, wreaked havoc inside, and fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters during the raid in Deir Ghassana and the nearby town of Beit Rima. However, no injuries or detentions were reported.
Dawoud was deported to Egypt as part of the latest prisoner exchange deal. He had been sentenced to life imprisonment and spent 22 years in Israeli detention. During his imprisonment, his father passed away, and his brother Ibrahim was killed by Israeli forces.
