JENIN, October 16, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian youth was killed by Israeli occupation forces on Thursday evening during a raid on the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry said that 20-year-old Mahdi Ahmad Kmeil was fatally shot after Israeli soldiers opened fire while storming the town. Troops had earlier deployed infantry units in the streets, searched several homes, and detained another resident.

Earlier in the day, Israeli forces shot and killed 11-year-old Mohammad Bahjat Al-Hallaq in the town of Al-Rihiya, south of Hebron, after opening fire on a group of children playing football in the yard of a local girls' school.

With Kmeil's killing, the number of Palestinians killed in Jenin governorate since the Israeli assault on the province began on January 21 has risen to 51, according to medical sources.
