Israeli army and colonists lunch attack on Palestinian olive pickers in Jenin

JENIN, October 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli army and colonists lunched a separate attack on Thursday against Palestinian olive pickers in the town of Kafr Ra'i, south of Jenin, according to a local official.

Kafr Ra'i Mayor Ghassan Daraghmeh told WAFA that dozens of colonists from the illegal colonial outpost of Dotan, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, attacked Palestinian farmers who were trying to reach their lands to harvest olives.

Daraghmeh affirmed that the Jenin Governorate, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Wall and Settlement Authority, organized an event today to help olive pickers in the town reach their lands that are restricted by Israeli authorities.

He also said that Israeli forces fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at the Palestinian farmers  and participants in the event.

Daraghmeh noted that the participants in the event, included Jenin Governor Kamal Abu al-Rab, his deputy Mansour al-Saadi, the head of the Wall Resistance Authority, Mu'ayyad Shaaban, and members of the Kafr Ra'i municipality.
