BETHLEHEM, October 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists attacked on Thursday Palestinian olive pickers east of Bethlehem, according to security sources.
They told WAFA correspondent that a group of colonists stormed the Zuweita area in the village of Kisan, assaulting olive pickers and expelling them from their land.
In a separate incident, dozens of colonists attacked olive pickers and foreign volunteers in the Ras Zeid area, southwest of the town of Huwara in Nablus, preventing them from completing the harvest.
The soldiers later surrounded the foreign activists in one of the village homes after they left the area.
Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated attacks by colonists along with Israeli army during the annual olive harvest season. Farmers constantly face attacks and violations that prevent them from accessing their lands, leading to significant material losses and exacerbating their daily suffering under the occupation.
Since October 7, 2023, colonists have carried out a total of 7,154 attacks against Palestinians and their property, resulting in the killing of 33 people in the West Bank.
Such incidents also resulted in the massive destruction and damage of a total of 48,728 trees, including 37,237 olive trees, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
