RAMALLAH, October 14, 2025 (WAFA) – The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Tuesday upheld the decision to exclude  Israeli athletes from participating in the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, scheduled to begin next Sunday in Jakarta, after rejecting the interim measures requested by the Israeli Gymnastics Federation.

Last week, Indonesian authorities refused to grant entry visas to Israeli gymnasts, prompting the Israeli Gymnastics Federation to file a request with the court, seeking to compel the International Gymnastics Federation to "ensure the participation of the Israeli team in the World Championships," or "relocate or cancel the championship."

However, these requests, which were considered urgently due to the imminent start of the championships on Sunday, with the participation of more than 500 athletes from approximately 80 countries, were rejected, according to a statement issued by the highest judicial body in world sports, without providing any justification for its decision.
