GAZA, October 14, 2025 (WAFA) – The World Health Organization (WHO) warned of the deteriorating health situation in the Gaza Strip, confirming that more than 15,600 patients require urgent medical evacuation for treatment outside the Strip.
The organization explained that more than 15,000 people have had limbs amputated as a result of the recent war, calling for enhanced monitoring of disease and viral outbreaks due to the deteriorating health situation and damaged infrastructure.
The WHO stressed the need to reopen medical corridors out of the Gaza Strip to ensure patients' access to specialized treatment centers and emergency medical care, warning of the worsening humanitarian and health crisis if the closure and delays in providing medical support continue.
