RAMALLAH, October 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Finance Minister Omar al-Bitar on Monday signed a €2-million memorandum of understanding with Spain’s Consul General José Blanco-Navarrete in support of the civil servants and pensioners’ salaries.
Provided through the EU’s PEGASE mechanism, the new financial assistance will contribute to the payments of the salaries and pensions of civil servants as part of Madrid’s commitment to support the State of Palestine’s budget and contribute to the sustainability of basic services provided to Palestinian civilians.
