JERUSALEM, October 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Colonists stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque compound from the Mughrabi Gate on Monday morning, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police, on the seventh and final day of the Jewish Sukkot holiday.
Local sources reported that dozens of colonists stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in groups under heavy Israeli police protection.
They carried out provocative tours of the compound's courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals.
Israeli forces had tightened restrictions on the entry of Jerusalemites to the mosque, preventing some from entering, amid strict measures to secure the colonists' incursions.
The settlers' mass incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque come in response to calls by the so-called "Temple Groups" to carry out large-scale incursions into Al-Aqsa throughout the Sukkot holiday.
The occupation authorities exploit Jewish holidays and occasions to oppress citizens and impose collective punishments against them.
They close checkpoints and tighten military measures at these checkpoints, obstructing citizens' movement and preventing them from reaching holy sites.
The forces also facilitate colonists' incursions into Palestinian cities, Islamic sites, and archaeological sites in the West Bank, particularly the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron and Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
