JERICHO, October 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces raided the home of Palestinian prisoner Ahmed Ka'abneh in Aqabat Jaber camp, south of Jericho, on Monday, ahead of his expected release under the ceasefire agreement.
Eid Brahma, director of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) office in Jericho, told WAFA that Israeli troops raided and searched Ka'abneh's home, warned his family against holding any celebrations or welcoming gatherings. Ka’abneh is among the detainees scheduled to be deported outside Palestine.
Israeli authorities yesterday banned around 100 relatives of detainees scheduled for release on Monday from traveling abroad to receive their loved ones, who are set to be deported outside Palestine as part of the ceasefire deal.
Ka'abneh has been imprisoned by Israel since April 26, 1997, and is serving two life sentences plus six additional years.
