Colonists open fire at Palestinian civilians near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, October 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists opened fire at citizens in Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, on Sunday evening.

The head of Al-Mughayyir village council told WAFA that colonists attacked the eastern plain of the village and opened fire at citizens present in the area.

No injuries were reported. They also stole olive wood from the remaining olive trees uprooted and bulldozed by the occupation forces in the area about a month ago.

Colonists raided the Marj Sa'i plain area, west of Al-Mughayyir village and adjacent to the lands of the neighboring Abu Falah village, this morning. They cut down 150 olive trees at the start of the harvest season, before withdrawing from the area.

Earlier this morning, colonists grazed their sheep on citizens' lands in the village.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, colonists carried out 232 acts of vandalism and theft of citizens' property during the month of July, affecting vast areas of land. They also resulted in the uprooting, destruction, and poisoning of 2,844 trees, including 2,647 olive trees.
