GAZA, October 11, 2025 (WAFA) – The bodies of 125 fatalities have arrived at hospitals across the Gaza Strip since dawn on Saturday, according to medical sources.

The sources reported that 121 of the bodies were recovered from under the rubble following Israeli airstrikes, while four others died from injuries sustained earlier.

Meantime, one person was killed by gunfire from Israeli drones in the town of al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. Additionally, three individuals died of wounds they had previously sustained.

The bodies were distributed among several hospitals: 52 were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, 21 to the Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, one to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, 20 to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, and 31 to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.

Late Thursday night, the Israeli government officially approved a ceasefire agreement proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, signaling the start of the first phase of a broader peace plan.

The deal includes ending all hostilities, a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, facilitating humanitarian aid, and achieving a prisoner exchange. However, ongoing attacks raise doubts about Israel’s commitment to the ceasefire.

Since October 2023, over 67,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, with around 170,000 wounded, mostly children and women, as a result of Israel’s two-year-long war on the Strip. Massive destruction, including the targeting of homes and infrastructure, has also led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people.
