BEIRUT, October 11, 2025 (WAFA) – A Lebanese civilian was killed on Saturday in an Israeli drone strike on the southern village of Qalaouiyeh, as part of a series of escalating air raids across southern Lebanon.
Local sources said the drone targeted a civilian vehicle near the public school in the village using a guided missile. In a separate incident, an Israeli drone also dropped a stun grenade on the village of Kafr Kila.
Earlier today, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israel launched its largest aerial assault on a purely economic zone since the end of the 66-day war. Fighter jets carried out over 10 airstrikes at dawn, directly targeting machinery and construction equipment dealerships along the Msaileh-Zahrani road in southern Lebanon.
The explosions turned the area into “a fireball resembling an earthquake,” the report said.
The strikes resulted in one civilian fatality and six others wounded, some seriously.
The bombardment also forced the closure of the Msaileh–Nabatieh road due to deep craters and oil leaks from destroyed machinery. Civil defense bulldozers later cleared the rubble and reopened the road to traffic.
