GAZA, October 11, 2025 (WAFA) – The death toll from Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 67,682, with 170,033 injured since the aggression began in October 2023, according to medical sources in Gaza.

Local health authorities reported that 151 people were confirmed killed and 72 others wounded in the past 24 hours alone, including 116 bodies recovered from beneath the rubble.

Hospitals across the Gaza Strip have also recorded 463 deaths over the past five months due to famine and malnutrition, among them 157 children, due to Israel’s blocked on the region. Since the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) officially declared a famine in Gaza last August, 185 deaths, including 42 children, have been registered due to hunger-related causes.

Medical teams warn the toll is likely higher, as many victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings or lie in the streets, where ambulance and civil defense crews are still unable to reach them due to destroyed infrastructure and ongoing insecurity.

These figures come just one day after the first phase of a ceasefire agreement took effect. The deal, brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump and approved late Friday by the Israeli government, includes a ceasefire, gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, entry of humanitarian aid, and a prisoner exchange.

Despite the truce, the humanitarian crisis remains extreme, with aid groups calling for immediate and unrestricted access to deliver life-saving food, medicine, and supplies.
