Israeli colonists destroy solar energy equipment in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, October 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists destroyed solar energy equipment on Friday evening in Khirbet al-Farisiyah, a Palestinian hamlet located in the northern Jordan Valley region, northeast of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

The sources said a group of colonists raided the community and vandalized solar panels and cut power cables belonging to a local resident.

The northern Jordan Valley has witnessed a sharp escalation in colonist violence against Palestinians and their property. These attacks include storming residential areas, intimidating residents, physically assaulting them, destroying belongings, preventing access to grazing lands, and attacking or stealing livestock.

Since early October 2023, Israeli colonists have carried out 7,154 attacks against Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, resulting in the killing of 34 Palestinians and the forcible displacement of 33 Bedouin communities, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
