Prime Minister Mustafa discusses latest developments with Danish Foreign Minister

Ramallah, October 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa discussed on Friday the latest developments with Denmark’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

Prime Minister Mustafa received a phone call from Denmark’s Foreign Affairs Minister Rasmussen, during which they addressed the latest political and field developments, particularly following the Gaza ceasefire agreement that went into effect at midnight Thursday.

Mustafa affirmed the State of Palestine’s readiness to assume responsibility in the Gaza Strip and implement urgent relief, recovery, and reconstruction plans, in cooperation with all international partners.

He stressed the importance of implementing the New York Declaration, which paved the way for the 22 September summit to push for greater recognition of the State of Palestine, in light of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, as a step toward achieving a political solution and the realization of the two-state solution.

The Danish Foreign Minister Rasmussen welcomed the ceasefire agreement and expressed support for relief and reconstruction efforts aimed at promoting stability and peace in the region.

He emphasized the need to swiftly take serious steps to improve the situation in the West Bank, reaffirming Denmark’s support for the institutions of the State of Palestine, the Palestinian Government Reform Agenda, and Denmark’s decision to join the Emergency Coalition for the Financial Sustainability of the Palestinian Authority.
