RAMALLAH, October 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained six Palestinians on Friday while they were harvesting olives in the village of Kafr Ni’ma, west of Ramallah.

Local sources said the arrests took place after Israeli colonists attacked the harvesters, with the backing of Israeli soldiers who were present during the assault.

Palestinian farmers often face violence and intimidation from Israeli colonists during the olive harvest season, especially in areas near settlements or outposts.

In many cases, colonists act with military protection, leading to detentions of Palestinians even when they are the ones under attack. These incidents disrupt the harvest and cause significant losses for families who depend on olive farming for their livelihoods.
