Israeli colonists attack olive harvesters in Aqraba, south of Nablus

NABLUS, October 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian olive harvesters on Friday morning in the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources said a group of colonists assaulted Palestinian civilians while they were harvesting olives, attempting to prevent them from completing their work.

Earlier the same morning, colonists also assaulted harvesters in the nearby town of Beita, resulting in injuries from physical beatings and cases of tear gas inhalation after Israeli soldiers intervened and fired gas canisters at the Palestinians.

Palestinian lands come under frequent attacks by Israeli colonists during the annual olive harvest season, a time of cultural, economic, and social significance. These attacks—often carried out under the protection of Israeli forces—aim to intimidate farmers and deny them access to their lands, especially those near illegal outposts.

Such assaults result in major financial losses and add to the daily hardships faced by Palestinians living under military occupation. Human rights organizations have long condemned these actions as part of a wider effort to displace Palestinians from their ancestral land.
