GAZA, October 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced Friday morning the recovery of the bodies of eight Palestinians killed in earlier Israeli attacks, as violations of the newly announced ceasefire agreement continue.
Seven bodies were pulled from the rubble in various areas of Gaza City, while the eighth was recovered from Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
In addition, a child, Rasel Imad Kawarea, died from wounds sustained earlier in an Israeli attack in the Asdaa area northwest of Khan Younis, according to medical officials.
Meanwhile, local sources reported that Israeli military vehicles opened fire in the Shakoush area northwest of Rafah, further south in the Strip.
Despite the formal approval of a ceasefire agreement by the Israeli government late Thursday night—based on a proposal by U.S. President Donald Trump—Israeli forces carried out new strikes early Friday in Gaza City and Khan Younis.
The ceasefire, part of the first phase of a U.S.-brokered plan, includes an end to the war, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, entry of humanitarian aid, and a prisoner exchange. However, attacks have continued on the ground, calling the implementation of the agreement into question.
