Two Palestinians, including a child, injured by Israeli gunfire in Jenin

JENIN, October 9, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man and a child were injured on Thursday evening after Israeli occupation forces opened fire during a military raid on the town of Ya’bad, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its crews transported a young man who was shot in the leg by Israeli forces. A child was also injured by shrapnel from live ammunition during the incursion.

According to local sources, Israeli forces stormed Ya’bad with several military vehicles, deploying across streets and residential neighborhoods. Soldiers fired live rounds and smoke bombs and seized control of a residential home during the assault.

The town of Ya’bad and the wider Jenin governorate have been frequent targets of Israeli military raids in recent months. These incursions often result in injuries, fatalities, and damage to property.
