HEBRON, October 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained a Palestinian citizen from the Tel Rumeida neighborhood in central Hebron on Tuesday and imposed a curfew on several neighborhoods east of the city.

Citizen Imad Abu Shamsiyeh told WAFA that IOF arrested his son, Muhammad, 24, while he was in front of their home in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood, central Hebron.

He explained that IOF are currently surrounding the house and preventing him and his family from leaving it, under the pretext that the "Ramat Yishai" colonists, who are built on citizens' lands and properties in Tel Rumeida, are celebrating the Jewish Sukkot holiday.

According to local sources, the occupation forces imposed a curfew on the Jaber, Salaymeh, Ghaith, and Wadi al-Hussein neighborhoods, adjacent to the Kiryat Arba settlement, built on Palestinian land and property east of Hebron, under the pretext of celebrating their holidays.
