RAMALLAH, October 3, 2025 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces have closed the entrances to the villages of Nabi Saleh and Sinjil, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, blocking the movement of Palestinian traffic in the area.

Local sources reported that the entrance to Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah, has been blocked with an iron gate since Thursday evening, forcing residents to take long alternative routes.

This entrance serves the villages of Beit Rima, Deir Ghassana, Kafr Ein, and Qarawa, as well as the city of Salfit and some of its villages.

The entrance to the village of Sinjil was also closed on Friday morning, restricting movement for local residents.

Israeli occupation authorities routinely impose such closures and restrictions in the West Bank, often under the guise of security, but rights groups say they amount to collective punishment.

These measures severely disrupt Palestinian daily life, blocking access to schools, workplaces, hospitals, and markets, and exacerbating economic hardship.
