Several Palestinians suffocate from tear gas fired by Israeli forces near Hebron

HEBRON, September 30, 2025 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians suffered from suffocation on Tuesday afternoon after Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas canisters at them near the entrance to the town of Idhna, west of Hebron.

WAFA correspondent said that Israeli troops stationed at the main entrance to the town, which has been closed with an iron gate for the past two years, fired live bullets, sound bombs, and tear gas towards residents, their vehicles, and university students, causing several suffocation cases.

Israeli forces continue to close the main entrance and all dirt roads leading to the town, while carrying out daily raids, arrests, and collective punishment measures. The use of live fire and toxic gas has further restricted residents’ access to healthcare, education, and other essential services.
