Palestinian man shot dead by Israeli forces south of Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, September 30, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority informed the Ministry of Health on Tuesday evening that Mahdi Muhammad Awad Diriya, 32, was shot dead by Israeli forces south of Bethlehem.

Israeli troops opened fire on Diriya, allegedly after he carried out a car-ramming attack near the town of Al-Khader.

Earlier, Israeli forces shut down all and secondary entrances to Bethlehem Governorate, according to security and local sources.

They told WAFA correspondent that Israeli troops closed all main and secondary entrances to Bethlehem Governorate, including the Container checkpoint, the Nashash, the eastern entrances to the town of Al-Khader, the western entrances to the city of Beit Jala, the entrances to the town of Tuqu', and other entrances.

They occupation army claimed the measures followed a reported car-ramming and shooting attack.

Troops also were deployed along Bypass Road No. 60.
