HEBRON, September 30, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation authorities closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron to Muslim worshippers on Tuesday until Thursday evening.
WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation authorities completely closed the Ibrahimi Mosque, including its corridors, courtyards, and sections, and prevented worshippers from entering.
The closure will continue for three days, starting today, under the pretext of Jewish holidays.
The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs condemned the occupation's decision to close the Ibrahimi Mosque, stressing that these practices constitute a flagrant violation of freedom of worship and a systematic targeting of the Ibrahimi Mosque.
It also warned of the danger of the escalating Israeli measures against the Mosque, which range from repeatedly preventing the call to prayer, restricting the entry of worshippers through electronic gates, conducting searches, and obstructing the work of the Mosque's staff and preventing them from performing their duties.
The Ministry called on the international community and UNESCO to take urgent action to halt these violations and attacks that threaten the purely Islamic religious character of the Ibrahimi Mosque.
