Israeli forces raid Hebron neighborhood, conduct population census

HEBRON, September 29, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces raided the Jabal al-Rahma neighborhood in Hebron on Monday and conducted a population census inside several home, local sources confirmed.  

WAFA correspondent said that Israeli troops raided several homes in the neighborhood, conducted a population census, and photographed residents' ID cards. Among the families identified were the Dweik and Tamimi families, along with others.

Meanwhile, troops set up a military checkpoint in the Karantina neighborhood, stopping vehicles, searching them, and vandalizing their contents. The soldiers also checked IDs and photographed them, causing a traffic jam.

Separately, Israeli forces raised their flag over the historic Nabi Saleh shrine, east of the town of Idhna, west of Hebron. This religious site dating back to the 17th century, sits on three dunams of endowment land east of the town.
