TULKARM, September 29, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of Kafr Sur, south of Tulkarm, at dawn on Monday, and carried out a large-scale raid on dozens of homes and arrested several citizens.
The head of the village council, Fawaz Hamza, told a WAFA correspondent that the occupation forces stormed the village at 2:00 a.m. and are still present there.
They raided and searched several homes, specifically in the Ras al-Assad area in the northern neighborhood and the center of the village. They subjected residents to field interrogation and transformed the home of village council member Zahida Riyahi into a military barracks and an investigation center.
He added that the occupation forces raided his home after blowing up three of its main doors. They searched it, vandalized its contents, and informed him that he was prohibited from leaving the house until 10:00 a.m.
Hamza indicated that during their house raids, the occupation forces detaom a number of citizens as well.
He said that, in coordination with the Education Directorate, schools for all grades were suspended due to the ongoing assault on the village, and that the school reopening was postponed until tomorrow.
This attack coincides with the ongoing Israeli assault on the city of Tulkarm and its two camps, Tulkarm and Nur Shams, which has entered its 246th consecutive day amid a tight siege, preventing residents from accessing the city, and continuous, round-the-clock reinforcements, disrupting the daily lives of citizens.
