RAMALLAH, September 23, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced on Tuesday that its oxygen station at Al-Quds Hospital in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City, has ceased operation after being shot at by Israeli occupation forces.
In a statement, the PRCS warned of the dangerous situation surrounding the hospital, adding that "the oxygen station at Al-Quds Hospital in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City has stopped working after being targeted by Israeli occupation forces."
The PRCS noted that the hospital is now relying on pre-filled oxygen cylinders, which will only last for three days, directly threatening the lives of patients.
The society added that Israeli occupation vehicles are positioned at the southern gate of the hospital, preventing entry and exit, warning of the dangerous conditions around the hospital, which threaten the safety of both patients and medical staff.
The PRCS stressed that hospitals must be safe havens for civilians and are entitled to special protection under international humanitarian law, calling on the international community to take immediate action to protect medical staff and patients inside the hospital.
