RAMALLAH, September 11, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs reported that 53 Palestinian women are currently imprisoned by Israel, among them minors and mothers.
The Commission said on Thursday that the detainees are suffering from harsh detention conditions and are deprived of the most basic human rights.
It added that some of the female prisoners were re-arrested after their release in the most recent prisoner exchange deal.
According ti the Commission, 42 of the detainees are from the West Bank, five from inside the 1948 territories, four from Jerusalem, and two from the Gaza Strip.
