RAMALLAH, September 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of overnight raids across the occupied West Bank early Sunday, detaining multiple Palestinians, including a woman and a young girl.
In Ramallah, Israeli forces, backed by military reinforcements, stormed the Ramallah al-Tahta neighborhood of the city and detained Bashar al-Tawil and his wife Hanaa Baydak after raiding their home, Palestinian security sources told WAFA.
In Jenin governorate, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society reported that Israeli forces detained Salam Ibrahim Ali, a young woman, after storming her family home in the village of Kufeirit and searching it. Two more Palestinians were detained in Jenin city and the town of Al-Yamoun, west of Jenin, after their homes were also raided and searched.
Meanwhile, in Hebron, local sources confirmed that two Palestinians were detained. One was detained from the al-Hawouz area following a raid on his home, during which Israeli soldiers also caused damage to his nearby shop. The other was taken into custody after Israeli forces raided and searched his home in the Beer al-Sabea street area.
These detentions are part of a broader and long-standing Israeli policy of near-daily raids across the occupied West Bank. Human rights groups have repeatedly criticized the practice, noting that it often involves the use of excessive force, property damage, and the detention of individuals without formal charges.
