VILNIUS, August 29, 2025 (WAFA) – Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Varsen Shahin briefed her Lithuanian counterpart Kęstutis Budrys on the latest developments in the Palestinian area.
During a meeting in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, Minister Shahin and her counterpart Budrys discussed the political and security developments in the Middle East in addition to the grave humanitarian crisis in the war-battered Gaza Strip.
They touched upon the ways to enhance bilateral relations, expand cooperation at the official and public levels, and protect the civilian population of the Gaza Strip and help bring an end to their humanitarian suffering.
The two diplomats pledged to pursue diplomatic efforts to convey the narrative of the tragedy of the Palestinian people and safeguard their inalienable rights.
On his official account on the X platform, Foreign Minister Budrys reiterated the urgent need for a full ceasefire and reaffirmed Lithuania‘s support for a two-state solution.
