Gaza: Several people killed and injured in Israeli bombing

GAZA, August 26, 2025 (WAFA) – A number of Palestinian citizens were killed and injured since dawn on Tuesday in Israeli warplanes bombing various parts of the Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondents reported, citing medical sources, that two citizens were killed and others were injured when the Israeli occupation forces bombed two houses in the Al-Shati refugee camp and Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City.

The same sources added that several others were killed and others were injured when the Israeli occupation forces targeted Al-Basatin Street in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, as they continue to destroy several houses in the area.

A child was killed and several others were injured when Apache helicopters targeted a house belonging to the Zaqout family on Al-Saftawi Street, northwest of Gaza City.

Five citizens were also killed and others were injured when the Israeli occupation forces bombed two houses in the Al-Sabra neighborhood and Al-Ghafri Junction in Gaza City. Five people are still missing under the rubble.

A Quadcopter drone also targeted Al-Zeitoun and Al-Majdal schools, which are sheltering displaced families, with several bombs.

Meanwhile, the occupation continues to bomb homes in northern Gaza using explosive-laden military vehicles.

Medical sources reported that one person was killed, others were injured, and others, including children, are still missing under the rubble. This occurred after the occupation bombed a home belonging to the Abu Zubaydah family in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. A citizen was also shot dead in the Netzarim axis.

A citizen and his wife were also killed, and several others were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a tent housing displaced persons from the al-Dayeh family in the al-Sawarah area, west of al-Nuseirat.

Two women were killed, and others were injured when the occupation bombed a warehouse housing displaced persons on Akila Street in Deir al-Balah.

The occupation continues to fire north of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Since dawn today, 20 citizens have been killed in a series of airstrikes and brutal massacres perpetrated by the occupation in the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources. However, with the ongoing brutal bombing, the death toll is expected to rise.

Last night, a family of five, including three children, from the Kaware'a family, was killed in an airstrike on the Al-Qarara area, west of Khan Yunis.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupying forces have launched an aggression on the Gaza Strip, killing 62,744 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and wounding 158,259 others.

This is a preliminary toll, with a number of victims still under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue crews.
