GAZA, August 20, 2025 (WAFA) - The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 62,122, the majority of whom were women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 156,758 others have also been injured.
This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.
Medical sources confirmed that since Israel broke its ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025, at least 10,576 civilians have been killed and 44,717 others have been injured.
Sources stated that 58 bodies, including two bodies that were recovered from under rubble, and 185 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours.
The sources indicated that, over the past 24 hours, 22 civilians have been killed and at least 94 others have been injured while attempting to receive humanitarian aid. This brings the total number of civilians killed in aid-related attacks and brought to hospitals to 2,018, with over 14,947 others wounded.
Hospitals in the Gaza Strip recorded three additional deaths from starvation and malnutrition over the past 24 hours, raising the total to 269, including 112 children.
