JERUSALEM, August 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces began paving a colonial road on Sunday morning at the expense of Palestinian lands in the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, amid heavy deployment and protection from Israeli occupation forces.

The Jerusalem Governorate stated that the ongoing work is in implementation of the Israeli occupation authorities' decision issued on June 25, 2025, to seize the street adjacent to Wadi Azriq in the town, starting from the main street leading to the town of Jaba' and extending to the Aqabat area, in addition to areas of neighboring lands, until December 31, 2027.

It confirmed that this crime aims to change the features of the area and impose new Judaization facts.

The Jerusalem Governorate pointed out that the ruling Israeli right continues to accelerate the pace of land seizure, deepen colonialism, and practice the most heinous forms of ethnic cleansing against Palestinian citizens in Jerusalem and all of Area C, in blatant defiance of relevant United Nations resolutions, especially Resolution 2334, with the aim of bringing about fundamental changes in the historical, political, legal, and demographic reality of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state, and undermining the two-state solution.
