NEW YORK, August 8, 2025 (WAFA) – Russia on Thursday condemned Israel’s plan to fully occupy the Gaza Strip.
Dmitry Polyanskiy, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation Mission to the UN, stated that Moscow views Israel’s plans as “a very bad step, in an absolutely wrong direction”.
“We condemn this kind of action,” Polyanskiy told reporters at UN headquarters in New York.
“We did it from the outset, from the moment when these plans were announced and contemplated. They run counter to all the UN decisions on [the] Palestine-Israeli conflict.”
