Israeli forces detain seven Palestinians from northern West Bank

JENIN, June 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday detained seven Palestinians from the northern occupied West Bank, according to local and security sources.

They said that Israeli special forces sneaked their way into Jabal Abu Dhahir in the city of Jenin, and surrounded a house, simultaneously firing concussion grenades.

The soldiers ordered the family inside the house via loudspeakers to leave before detaining a young man from the house.

Israel has been launching an aggression on the city and refugee camp of Jenin for 200 consecutive days, killing 45 Palestinians and detaining dozens.

Meanwhile, the gun-toting soldiers showed up at a house in the Balata refugee camp, muscled inside, and detained another young man.

In the Tulkarm governorate, the sources confirmed a raid in Zeita town, resulting in the detention of five people.

Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which also take place in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
