Palestinian youth killed by Israeli colonist, toll rises to 2

HEBRON, July 29, 2025 (WAFA) – The General Authority of Civil Affairs informed the Ministry of Health this morning that Odeh Mohammad Khalil al-Hathalin, 31, has succumbed to his wounds after being shot by an Israeli colonist in the village of Umm al-Khair, east of Yatta, yesterday evening.

The Authority explained that its crews in Yatta are making intensive efforts to secure the body's burial.

Yesterday, two citizens were injured in a colonist attack on the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, while they were on their lands and homes in the village.

The colonists opened fire at them, wounding al-Hathalin with live ammunition.

He was transferred by the occupation forces to an unknown location. His killing was confirmed this morning.

Another citizen was injured after being beaten by a colonist and was subsequently transferred by Red Crescent ambulance crews to Yatta Governmental Hospital.

With the killing of Al-Hathalin, the death toll from gunfire of the occupation and colonist in Hebron has risen to two since yesterday evening.

Mohammad Samer Suleiman Al-Jamal, 27, was killed as a result of being shot by the occupation forces at the northern entrance to the city of Hebron, where they left him bleeding and prevented the ambulance crews from reaching him.

His killing was later confirmed, and his body was detained by the occupation forces.
