TULKAREM, June 30, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Monday issued demolition orders targeting 104 homes and buildings in the Tulkarem refugee camp, in the northern West Bank.
The forces granted local residents 72 hours to file objections and evacuate the properties. The orders were accompanied by detailed maps marking the targeted structures in red
Tulkarem Governor Abdullah Kamil called on the international community, human rights organizations, and relevant UN bodies to intervene urgently to halt the demolitions, condemning the move as part of a broader campaign of systematic destruction against the city and its camps.
This is a continuation of a crime aimed at forcibly displacing residents,” Kamil said in a statement. “The ongoing demolition, destruction, and harassment have already caused widespread forced displacement and daily suffering.”
Israeli forces continue their offensive in Tulkarem camp for 155 consecutive days, and in Nur Shams camp for 142 days, with what he described as a “deliberate escalation” of home demolitions, raids, roadblocks, and mass arrests, resulting in sever suffering in all aspects of life."
Kamil warned that the continued silence of the international community emboldens Israel to persist with its operations, urging concrete international measures to stop what he described as an unfolding humanitarian disaster.
