GAZA, June 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Medical sources said on Monday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 55,432, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023.

The sources added that the death toll has risen to 128,923 since the start of the aggression, while a number of victims remain under the rubble, unable to be reached by ambulances and civil defense crews.

They indicated that the number of slain people who were taken to Gaza Strip hospitals over the past 24 hours reached 68 (including two whose bodies were recovered), and 182 were injured.

The death toll and injury toll since March 18, after the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement, has reached 5,139 martyrs and 16,882 injured.

The sources indicated that the total number of aid victims who were taken to hospitals from areas designated for aid distribution reached 338, with more than 2,831 injured, including 38 people who were killed in the past 24 hours.
