GAZA, June 2, 2025 (WAFA) – Ongoing Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Monday have killed and wounded scores of civilians, with children and women making up the majority of the casualties, according to local sources.
Israeli fighter jets conducted an Israeli strike on the Al-Barsh family home on Old Gaza Street in Jabali, killing 16 people and injuring several others.
Meanwhile, five people were killed in an airstrike that hit the Al-Samouni family home in the Musab Bin Umair area of Gaza City's Zeitoun neighborhood. Rescue workers say several individuals remain missing beneath the rubble.
In southern Gaza, an Israeli drone strike killed one person in the As-Sikka area of central Khan Younis. Another civilian was shot and killed near an aid distribution center in western Rafah.
The latest attacks come amid a broader Israeli military campaign that began on October 7, 2023, and has since killed 54,470 Palestinians and injured 124,693. The actual toll is expected to be higher, as many remain buried under debris or unreachable due to ongoing strikes.
