B’Tselem official: Israel escalating apartheid and forced displacement in West Bank

RAMALLAH, June 2, 2025 (WAFA) – The field director of the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem warned on Monday that violence by Israeli forces and  colonists in the occupied West Bank is escalating, as part of what he described as a deliberate strategy to displace Palestinians.

Kareem Jubran, Director of Field Research at B’Tselem, said in an interview with Voice of Palestine Radio that the situation on the ground is deteriorating day by day, particularly in Area C, where the majority of land is under full Israeli control.

Jubran said that the increasing frequency and brutality of colonist attacks—often carried out under the protection or cooperation of Israeli soldiers—reflects a broader Israeli policy aimed at emptying Palestinian communities from strategic areas.

He called for increased support for Palestinian communities facing this ongoing campaign, urging the international community and civil society to reinforce Palestinian resilience and presence on the land.
