RAMALLAH, May 31, 2025 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed grave concern on Saturday over the Israeli government's decision to block the entry of a high-level ministerial delegation formed by the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit on Gaza.
The delegation, which was scheduled to visit the State of Palestine on Sunday, had planned to enter via the airspace over the occupied West Bank—controlled by Israel. The Ministry strongly condemned the move, describing it as a blatant violation of Israel’s obligations under international law as the occupying power.
In a statement, the Ministry said the decision also breaches signed agreements and reflects Israel’s continued defiance of the international community, as well as its ongoing violations against the Palestinian people.
The blocked delegation included top diplomats from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League, who had planned to hold coordination meetings in Ramallah with President Mahmoud Abbas.
